We had the opportunity to get a guided tour of Freestyle Music Park today. Thank you to John Stine and the team for inviting us. Here's a FIRST LOOK inside the park, which opens this Saturday:

The new Red, Red Wine Shop where you can sample various wines. We're told some fruit based wines sampled are from Florida.

Replacing the show posters under the VIP Plaza arch are new Freestyle posters with information on Kiss the Sky Fireworks and more. This section appears will be updated daily.

Another entrance for Freestyle Mercantile on the outgoing side of the archway.

The archway no longer has the lyrics as it did before.

The Beale Street Theater will screen a show on music and Freestyle Music Park.

The courtyard for Rockaccino across from the Beale Theater.

The new THUNDER AND LIGHTING sign rest at the corner of the building.

Inside THUNDER AND LIGHTING looks fairly the same as last year.

The Freestyle Music Park Icon Guitar is the focal point of the KISS THE SKY Fireworks show which is about 7 1/2 minutes long and set to various tracks of classic rock music.

Signs on the Myrtle's Beach entrance point guests to various attractions.

The ancient statue remains with a new look to the guitar in the background.

Capturing the giant bucket as it unleashes.

The new sign for Bali Hai Burgers and Bites. We did not notice the tiki torches.

A look at the building.

The Colossal Stone Guitar remains.

Here is what most of you have been waiting for. The new entrance to THE TIME MACHINE. The Led Zeppelin symbols have been replaced with images for each decade. Gone is the Hermit.

You can see the images for the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's

Don't suppose they mentioned any of the songs that will be used on the Time Machine, or how the decades would be chosen/rotated?

Notice the columns are now lined with album covers.

This seems like the idea was borrowed from the old Lost in the 70's wall.

The doors to the former preshow have each been wrapped with a decade. AND YES!!! We rode THE TIME MACHINE today. Each ride plays a different decades of songs play on each ride. Our ride featured songs from the 80's. Its started with Cindy Lauper and ended with REM's "End of the World as We Know It".

The opposite side of Adrenaline Rush no longer has the Malibu Beach image on the side of the building.

Crews were repainting the old, red Kitchen Below building to a new yellow (but unfinished) Paradise Pizza.

You can see the first coat of paint. Perhaps a primer.

The media gets to ride THE IRON HORSE.

Media zip along the track.

The motorcycle in front of the entrance remains, but we do not know if it revs as before.

A shot of Acapulco Phil's from another angle. Here's a thought. This is COUNTRY USA and mexicans STILL manage to sneak into America. Hmmm.

The Trading Post serves at THE IRON HORSE'S exit.
